Teaching Practicum 1: Yesmin's Group.

TOPIC: 'Toyland'.
CLASS 20: (Reading).

To present this class, teachers got together with 5 classmates, each partner choose one of five stages and they divided it to teach one stage for each teacher.

For the Warm-up Teacher Abigail began the class presenting a ball, students had to play Hot Potatoe, when music stopped the student who had the ball, needed to pass to the board and choose one of five pieces of paper that were pasted on the board. Students had to put in order a word about Toys that were in disorder inside of the paper that he/she chose.

Besides that, Teacher Karla Pineda presented a review about the last topic, teacher showed 8 objects related with Toys, presenting new vocabulary too, asking them to repeat the target vocabulary twice. Then, Teacher Karla asked students to read each name tag. After this, students were asked to close their eyes, when they closed their eyes, Teacher Karla hide some objects, after a while Teacher Karla asked students to open their eyes  and were asked with the question Which Toy is missing?, students had to look for the Toy that had dissapeared. Moreover, Teacher Karla presented some adjectives as Beautiful, Big, Ugly and Small. Where students had to make some sentences using the target vocabulary and adjectives.

To present During stage, Teacher Yesmin began giving to the students 3 worksheets. After this, Teacher Yesmin started to read the conversation part by part, when the had already finished Teacher Yesmin asked them to answer Yes or No in the first part of the worksheet. Then, students were asked to read their answers asking them Yes or No. Besides that, Teacher Yesmin asked students to work in the second part, students had to answer according with the story. At the end, Teacher Yesmin asked students to stand up and were compared their answer with a classmate.


Moreover, Teacher Karla Rajo asked students to stand up, Teacher presented some little pictures of Toys, students should take 2 pictures and were asked to create a conversation with a partner using target vocabulary and adjectives. After this, Teacher Karla asked to a pair to make a conversation in front of their classmates.

To finish the lesson,  Teacher Hazel played a game, Teacher Hazel divide the students in two groups, students should form some sentences that Teacher Hazel said using target vocabulary and adjectives. The first group who form faster the sentence than other needed to throw a ball from a Roulette and where the ball fell those were the points that students got.
