Teaching Practicum 1: Teachers Karla Rajo & Karla Pineda

TOPIC: 'Body Talk'.
CLASS13: (Vocabulary).
N° OF STUDENTS: 06

Teacher Karla Rajo began the class playing a game called The Bottle, students needed to split the bottle and the student who pointing out the bottle had to paste on the board a part of a body related with a chart that was on the board.













(Teacher Karla used CCQ to be sure if the names of the part of the body were correctly pasted).
Then, Teacher Karla Pineda presented 10 flashcards about the body, Teacher showed a picture and asked students to repeat twice the name of each part of the body like Ears, Eyes, Mouth, Arm, Leg, Hand, Foot, Feet, Nose, & Head. Then Teacher Karla asked students to help her to put each name of the part of the body in the corresponding image, after this Teacher Karla asked students to repeat each name again.



After this, Teacher Karla Rajo asked students to stand up, teacher played a game where Teacher Karla had to said one part of the body and students needed to touch it just to remember the last activity, then Teacher Karla presented another game where teacher had pasted on the board two charts with missing parts of the body, what students needed to do, was that teacher made two lines with students and when Teacher Karla said a part of a body students needed to choose the correct part of the body and run to the board to paste it in the space that corresponded to the part of the body and also they needed to pasted the corresponding name of that part of the body.






   




















Teacher Karla Pineda played a game called 'Simon says', when Teacher Karla said 'Simon says touch your eyes' each students had to touch their eyes, but if the teacher just said 'Touch your eyes', students do not have to touch any part of their bodies. If a students get confused, this student needed to pass to the board and says again 'Simon says touch'..











Teacher Karla Rajo gave students a worksheet and some colors, what students had to do, was that Teacher Karla said a part of the body and students should to draw it on the worksheet. Moreover, when they had drawn the part of the body they should pass the color to the other classmates and so on. At the end Teacher Karla asked for a volunteer to show their draw pointing out at least two part of the body that had done.












Teaching Practicum 1: Teachers Vanesa Paniagua & Fatima Arias.

TOPIC: 'Insect Life'.
CLASS12: (Reading).
N° OF STUDENTS: 06

Teacher Fatima began the class playing a game. Teacher Fatima made two lines with students and before this Teacher Fatima had pasted on the board different insects, what students had to do was that Teacher Fatima gave them a Fly Swatter, when Teacher Fatima said a name students needed to run and hit the correct insect with the Fly Swatter, who got more points won.




Then Teacher Vanesa pasted 9 pictures on the board related with insects, after this Teacher Vanesa played a game call Hot Potatoe with students, the student who had the hot potatoe needed to pass to the board and paste the correct name of an insect in the corresponding flashcard. Then Teacher Vnaesa asked students if they remembered the five adjectives, Teacher Vanesa helps students to remember the adjectives and then with students helps, Teacher Vanesa classified each insect in different adjectives like Ladybug is small and beautiful.








 Teacher Fatima gave students a worksheet, students had to read a little story with a worksheet in which they needed to work it, then Teacher Fatima read the whole story and asked students to with her and then alone. After this, Teacher Fatima asked students to read the story one by one, and also the instructions, when students finished, Teacher Fatima made students to compare their answers, then Teacher asked students to work in the second part making the same, at the end students needed to compare with a classmate.






(Teacher Vanesa helps students to work in the worksheet and students really like this activity).
Teacher Vanessa follow the class giving to students a worksheet, glue and scissors, where students needed to read the sentence and then they had to cut some little images and past in the corresponding place in the same worksheet. Before this, Teacher Vanesa asked students to read each sentences that were in the worksheet. Then, students were asked to compare their job with their classmates and also to read what they had done.

Teacher fatima asked students to sit on the floor, students needed to put their hands behind their backs and when Teacher Fatima said a name of and insect students needed to touch the picture, who had a point was going to be the winner.






Teaching Practicum 1: Teachers Georgina Hernandez & Giovanni Abrego.


TOPIC: 'Insect Life'.
CLASS 11: (Listening).
N° OF STUDENTS: 06

Teacher Gio began the class playing a game called 'Insect Basket', each students were given a name of an insect like Ant, & Bee, so when Teacher Gio said for example; Ant, the students who had the name of Ant, had to stand up and choose another sit, the student who didn't have a sit had to say again a name of an insect like Ant, Bee or Insect Life and students had to run and change their sit again.
(Studens really love this game).












Then Teacher Georgina started the class asking studnets if they remembered the last topic that was 'Insect Life', Teacher Georgina started to repeat each name of insect with students at the same time, after this teacher asked students the color of each insect using some balloons to make students a review of the colors, then Teacher Georgina presented 5 adjectives like Dangerous, Ugly, Small, Big, and Beautifuñl, Teacher Georgina started to explain how the adjectives could use with the insects; then, Teacher asked students to pass to the board to practice, students needed to match the insect with a color and adjective making a sentence.
(Student could do the sentences very well)





























Then Teacher Giovanni presented a worksheet where students had to listen three audios, and according with the audio students had to answer each question in theworksheet and then they needed to compare their questions with their classmates.


At the end, Teacher Georgina presented some drawings about insects, students were asked to said which insect were presented, then they needed to choose an insect and paiting.













Teaching Practicum 1: Teacher Yesmin Perez.

TOPIC: 'Insect Life'.
CLASS10: (Grammar).
N° OF STUDENTS: 05

Teacher Yesmin began the class playing a game, teacher asked students to stand up, each students needed to take their hands and close their eyes, Teacher put and object on the floor and students had to choose the object, the first group student who got the object was the winner.












Then Teacher Yesmin presented 9 flashcards about insect, Teacher Yesmin asked students to repeat each name of the insect. Moreover, Teacher Yesmin presented the grammar 'ARE & IS'  using the question 'How are they?' and the adjectives 'NICE & CUTE' using the question 'How is it?' answering 'It is nice, it is cute'.






After this, Teacher Yesmin gave students a worksheet, students needed to complete the exercises filling in the blank IS or ARE.








Then teacher Yesmin gave students a test to put in practices what they had learn in the class using the grammar ARE or IS and the adjectives NICE & CUTE.

Teaching Practicum 1: Teacher Fernando Canales.


TOPIC: 'Insect Life'.
CLASS09: (Vocabulary)
N° OF STUDENTS: 05

Teacher Fernando began the class asking students to stand up, each student needed to change their place where they were sitting and take a name that was under their desk and paste it on the board with the picture that was pasted on the board. Teacher Fernando asked students if all of the names of insects were correctly pasted with the pictures, students help the teacher to put correctly the words.
(Then, Teacher Fernando presented 3 questions, Teacher asked students to answer the questions about the information that they had. Moreover, Teacher used CCQ/ Teacher asked students to repeat).



Teacher Fernando asked students to stand up, teacher gave them a piece of paper with the correct name of the insect, students needed to ask with their classmate what was their favorite insect, then Teacher asked students to make a circle and put a guy in the middle, each student had a name of an insect and the guy who was in the middle had to touch the guy that had the name that teacher said, if student touch them, they needed to move in the middle and made the same.





Then Teacher Fernando started to asked students the color of each insect, students had to repeat the corresponding name, then Teacher Fernando taught the vocabulary about 'Ants, Legs, Wings' this to help students to descibe some insects using the question 'What is your favorite insect?' and 'What insect don't you like?'

Teacher Fernando gave them a worksheet, students needed to
 complete the worksheet, then Teacher help students and answer the question with them.

Teaching Practicum 1: Teachers Karla Rajo & Karla Pineda.

TOPIC: 'Great Outfit'.
CLASS:08 (Reading)
N° OF STUDENTS: 04

(Students enjoy the game)
Teacher Karla Pineda started the class playing a game where students needed to tke a sit on the floor and move a Roulette, the student who move the Roulette and this pointing out on a name of clothe like a Skirt, had to pass to the board and paste a picture related with the name that had the Roulettle.














Then, Teacher Karla Rajo presented different colors and some pictures about the Outfit teacher asked students if they knew the color according with the pictures of clothes, students had to paste the color next to the name of each picture. After this, teacher Karla presented the questions 'What are these?' and 'What are this?'
(Teacher made a review about colors and helps students to repeat the color with the proper name of each cloth)



















After this, Teacher Karla presented a book, where at the first time, Teacher Karla read her book about family and their clothes, at the second time Teacher Karla asked students to read the book after her, at the end students had to read alone the book, then Teacher Karla gave to the students a little book and a worksheet, they needed to work alone reading their book and answer the correct answer.
(Teacher Karla read each instruction and help students, moreover Teacher Karla  asked students to read again the book. Students really enjoy reading their books).

At the end, Teacher Karla Rajo played a game called Bingo with students, Teacher said a sentences and students had to match, if they had the same they needed to say bingo.

Extra Class: September 18th, 2015

The meeting began at 9:00 am, Teacher Orlando presented some questions about the Listening and Reading skills, students answer each questions with the teacher helps.

The purpose of this class was to prepare a PDP about Listening class, to started we needed to made a brainstorm about the word 'Bulling' after this, teacher played an audio where we were asked in groups of four, we needed to listen an audio and aswer a worksheet about 'Bullying', and to fill the blank some questions, after this teacher Orlando played a game where we needed to make a circle and pass to balls, this was to create some groups to work with.















 The second part of the class, Teacher Orlando played another game with students, the game was called Rabbits and Caves, students needed to made trios, when teacher said Rabbit the students who were in the middel of the others two classmates needed to run to choose another cave, if the teacher said Cave, the two studnets who had the cave needed to change the person and took their hands with other classmate. At the end of the game teacher made trios to work together, students had to sit together and Teacher Orlando gave them a worksheet, students needed to listen and answer according with the audio.
























At the end Teacher Orlando played a song and students had to answer some exercise according with the audio, then Teacher Orlando asked students to compare their answer with a classmates and then with the teacher.

Teaching Practicum 1: Teacher Hazel Rivas & Abigail Rauda.



TOPIC: 'The Outfit'.
CLASS07: (Listening).
N° OF STUDENTS: 05
Teacher Abigail began the class playing a Song, presenting the song with in a chart, students needed to read the song, then Teacher Abigail started to sing the song alone with the music, then Teacher abigail asked students to sing the song together, at the end students sing the song twice.
 
Teacher Hazel started asking students if they remembered the last topic about 'The Outfit', Teacher asked students each part of clothes and students had to repeat, then when Teacher finished to ask each student about the clothes, teacher began to teach grammar, teacher presented 2 questions that were 'What is this?' & 'What is those?' using the answers 'It's a' & 'They are'.
 Teacher Hazel began to explain how they needed to use those questions, then Teacher Hazel made students to practice each other using the same questions.








Teacher Abigal played a game, where teachers made a 'Hanger', where they hold all the pictures in the 'Hanger', what students needed to do was that students had to stand up and make a line, Teacher Abigail said a clothe and students should to walk slowly and take the picture about the clothe that Teacher Abigail had mentioned.












Students really enjoy this game, and it was good to recognize the topic.
Teacher Hazel played a game, students had to stand up and make a line, what students needed to do was that Teacher Hazel bringt some clothes, so when Teacher Hazel said a name of a clothes, students should walk slowly and the first students who came to the board had to choose the clothe that Teacher Hazel had mentioned and he/she had to wear it.

Teaching Practicum I: Teachers Vanesa Paniagua & Fatima Arias

TOPIC: 'Great Outfit'..
CLASS 06: (Grammar).
N° of students: 03

Students really enjoy this game.
At the beginning Teacher Vanesa presented some pictures about clothers, students needed to answer each different clothe, then Teacher Vanesa played a game, teacher made a Hangingman on the board, teacher said a number and students should said some letter, if the letter that students said was about one word of the clothes, teacher wrote one letter on the board until create a name of a clothes, but if the letter was wrong teacher was going to making a man.









Teacher Fatima presented 8 flashcards about the topic 'The Outfit', each flashcard represented a clothe. Teacher asked students if they knew the name of each clothes, students answer correctly, at the end Teacher asked students to repeat twice the vocabulary. After this Teacher Fatima taught the grammar 'It's a' and 'They are' using each flashcard, Teacher Fatima asked some students to stand up and write 'It's a' or 'They are' in each flashcard. Teacher Fatima helps students in the activity using CCQ.


Students were emotionally with this game.
Teacher Vanesa played a game with students, Teacher Vanesa asked students to stand up, before this teacher had pasted the eight flashcards in some desks, what students needed to do was that Teacher Vanesa said a name of a clothes and students should walk slowly, the first student who touched the flashcard got a point.












Teacher Fatima played a game, students had to stand up, what they should do was that teacher showed a picture of a clothe and students needed to draw a picture about the word that Teacher had mentioned. Students had to guess the name of the draw, the students who answer ,ore drawing got a point.












It was a really good activity were students enjoy it playing with teachers.
At the end Teacher Vanesa made an activity where asked students to some teachers to help her in the activity, each teacher needed to choose a student and make a pair, what they had to do was that Teacher Vanesa gave a sheet to each teacher, they needed to draw a clothe that Teacher Vanesa had told them, students had to see the drawing and say as faster as they could the corresponding name of the clothe, the student who answer first got a point.






Teaching Practicum I: Teachers Georgina Hernandez & Giovanni Abrego

TOPIC: 'Great Outfit'.
CLASS 05: (Vocabulary).
N° OF STUDENTS: 03

At the beginning Teacher Georgina played a game with students, teacher gave students an envelope each student had to work individually and take some pieces of images to form a puzzle, who finished first was the winner.













Then, Teacher Giovanni made a review of the ABC, teacher made that students could repeat each lettler of the alphabet twice, after this Teacher Giovanni presented the vocabulary about Outfit, Students needed to repeat each name of the outfit. Then teacher Giovanni presented a question How do you spell it? each student had to work with another classmate to use the question.











After this , Teacher Georgina played a game where students had to work individually each student were given eight little flashcards, Teacher Georgina said a clothe and the first student who raise the picture corresponding at the name that teacher had said got a point.












Then Teacher Giovanni asked students to stand up, Teacher Giovanni played a game where eight pictures about clothe were pasted in some desks, what students had to do was that when Teacher Giovanni said a name of an outfit students had to walk slowly to take the picture that teacher Giovanni had said, the first student who had the picture got a point.











At the end, Teacher Georgina played a game but first Teacher Georgina asked some teacher to help her in the game, teacher had to present some images to students and they needed to draw the image on the board and teachers had to guess what image was related to the outfit, who answer first got a point.
